From online searches I think it's Ribbon Plant, but I'd like to be sure. Here's the URL: http://ebay.humphreyonline.us/Misc/P1000780_1.jpg

It looks like a Corn Plant to me. Otherwise known as Dracaena Fragrans.

I concur - Corn plant or the Latin name someone else posted -Home Depot and Lowes sell them for about $20.

Make sure that when the temperature goes below 50, it comes inside. When inside for the winter, keep it away from the windows - something about the glass messing up the sunlight and damages them. They like partial sun, but not complete sun..

We have had one since last summer, and it is the only plant that has actually made it in my house for any amount of time...

Dracaena. Ive never heard it called a corn plant, maybe that's just a local thing where you are. My daughter works in a nursery, she's not heard that name either.

Banana tree. I have one just like it. When I bought it, the tag said "banana tree".

It is NOT a corn plant.
