Book arrived quickly for Christmas season even through media mail. Excellent condition. Book itself has photos which seem outdated – just a bit of a 1980′s feel to it.

Product came in very good condition. Worth the money. Great book in terms of gardening – you will learn a lot. My husband and I have to share it as we both enjoy the many things that can be done to harvest a good garden.

I had the luxury of reviewing this book before I bought it from a friend of mine. In fact, she had used it for years and lent it to me when I planted my first container tomatoes and peppers. The information was very straightforward and the pictures were very good and helpful. I’m a beginner gardener and my friend is a veteran and we both love it. The book not only lists vegetables and how, when, where to plant them, it also gives you the authors own schematic of what vegetable to place where. It also gives “types” of gardens depending on why you’re planting. If you’re planting for storing, for eating right away, etc. It also gives schematics for creating a storage cellar. It also gave information about composting, soil structures, green manure crops, etc. The author is very experienced and offers alot of insight. I have at least four or give gardening books and I found myself wanting to refer back to my friend’s book, So, I finally went on-line to buy the book. This is definitely my go-to reference book for vegetable gardening.

I found this book on my grandmother’s shelf, next to a few other gardening books. Within minutes of flipping through each of them, I realized that this was the only book I would ever need! I have used the techniques in this book a few summers and have had the best harvests all summer long!

The book was not posted with a photo, so I didn’t realize it was vegtable gardening and not flower. The book looked a little faded.
