The Royal Horticultural Society: A Paramount In Horticulture Education

Horticulture is generally known as the science of growing, as well as the maintaining, of garden plants. Most may see it as a trivial field, but these misconceptions about the intricacies of horticulture, let alone horticulture education, are totally wrong.

Horticulture is a no nonsense field, as it deals with the growing and maintaining of living things. Though not exactly as complex as rearing a pet, plants require a level of understanding, which isn't anything near trivial.

A person with a horticulture educational background would fit in quite well in the fields of industry, government and/or education, working as either, crop analysts, crop engineers, crop production advisors, researchers, plant breeders, teachers, or simply professional horticulturists.

A number of educational institutions featuring or dedicated to horticulture education offer horticultural education courses, with The Royal Horticultural Society being one of the most notable. Providing horticulture education opportunities in Harlow Carr in North Yorkshire, Hyde Hall in Essex, Rosemoor in Devon and Wisley in Surrey, The Royal Horticultural Society stands tall as an avenue for persons wanting to gain a career in the field of horticulture.

Royal Horticultural Society's One Year Specialist Option Certificate horticulture education package, and One Year Certificate in Practical Horticulture are two of the institution's more popular horticulture education courses.

The One Year Specialist Option Certificate boasts a comprehensive horticulture education experience, in six areas of horticulture discipline, which includes: Plant Centre Management Skills, Ornamental Horticulture, Rock and Alpine Gardening, Fruit Cultivation, Orchid Culture and Glasshouse Technique, and Estate Management with Arboriculture.

As the institution's horticulture education programs begin in September, applications are accepted until the 31st day of January, in the planned year of school entry. Students are opened to the world of carpet bedding, budding, and other advanced horticulture geared techniques.

The institution's One Year Certificate in Practical Horticulture stands to be the ideal enrichment course option, for persons with previous horticulture education backgrounds. Bottom line, the course is basically one where students gain practical skills which would come in handy in the actual application of horticultural practices.

The Royal Horticultural Society also provides students with paid short-term, which could run between one to three months, work experience, giving them a "real feel" when it comes to horticulture work. School related work experience isn't exactly required, but would greatly enhance a student's reputation as a horticulturist in the making, establishing a name for him/herself in the field.

All in all, if quality horticulture education is what you are looking for, look no further. The Royal Horticultural Society has what you are looking for, and more.
