Aquarium Hydroponics Is The Simplest Means To Grow Plants

Aquarium hydroponics involves producing plants through suspension of plants in nutrient solution that contains rich and oxygenated water. In the traditional means used there were plants placed in net pots that were hung from a lid and the roots were immersed in nutrient solutions. And, the nutrient solution was further oxygenated with an air pump that was powered by aquarium airstone, which if it were to adequately oxygenate the plants could allow the plants to remain suspended indefinitely.

    Much More Oxygen Absorption

With an aquarium hydroponics, plant roots can absorb much more oxygen and at the same time can take in more nutrients as well, which causes tremendous growth of plant life. There is even a more advanced method of using aquarium hydroponics and that is to use a reservoir that can be used to supply water to more than one bucket.

Thus, with such a method there is no need for airstones and there have instead been many buckets that have been connected and which have re-circulated water flow through them instead. With repeated recirculation, there is a better mix of nutrient's conductivity factor as also pH is stabilized, and this leads to having to test just a single point in the whole system.

That means that all that is required is to build the aquarium hydroponics which anyway is the simplest means of utilizing the power of hydroponics that even you can do it yourself. All that you will require is a single sheet of plastic that will hold your plants, plastic cups, a growing medium and also an aquarium air pump as well as oxygen stone and of course, the nutrient solution as well as pH test kit. You can then fill your aquarium hydroponics with water as well as the nutrient solution and hook the air pump while also placing the oxygen stone at the bottom.

You can easily use an aquarium hydroponics to grow plants by placing their roots in the nutrient solution since it has been found that plants are more prone to absorbing nutrients as ions in water, and that by introducing the nutrients into water supply for the plants in an aquarium, the plant can survive and even thrive without need of any soil.

And, since there is very little worry about pests attacking the plants and with constant feeding of nutrients to the plants, aquarium hydroponics is a very simple yet effective means of growing your plants at home. Hydroponics is an emerging technology and with aquarium hydroponics as its simplest form, it is a very effective means of growing plants without use of soil.
