Examples Of Professional Landscaping Equipment
This is where professional landscaping equipment comes into play. These tools and gear help landscapers and gardeners do their job faster so that they could cover large areas. Also, they are more accurate than manual tools, especially if the job requires precision, such as keeping a hedge level. Most professional landscaping equipment are powered with fuel of some sort. The most common professional landscaping equipment is the lawn mower. Cheaper lawn mowers are pushed around by a person. However, there are expensive lawn mowers that can be ridden by a driver! This machine cuts grass quickly and evenly. This is particularly useful for large lawns and golf courses. The downside is that they emit fumes that are harmful to the environment. They are also noisy. Another professional landscaping equipment that is commonly seen is the hedge trimmer. This tool consists of a small engine on one end. The engine powers a sharp, spinning blade at the other end of a long pole. As its name implies, this piece of equipment is primarily used to trim hedges evenly and quickly. However, it can also be used to cut tall grasses, weeds and soft branches. A lawn or a landscape can sometimes be covered with dead leaves, especially during autumn. While a rake can clear a small area, it is downright impossible to rake an area the size of a golf course. This is where a blower takes over. A blower pumps a powerful flow of air out of its nozzle which clears the area of leaves. Like a lawnmower, it is quite noisy. Once in a while, a gardener has to treat the plants in his lawn with pesticide to get rid of harmful insects. For this job, a gardener uses a backpack sprayer. Pesticide is placed in the tank of the sprayer. When the gardener pulls the trigger in the nozzle, a fine spray of pesticide emerges from the machine. The fan-like spray covers a large area in a matter of minutes. These professional landscaping equipment can certainly make life easier for a gardener or landscaper. However, since they consist of machinery, they should be handled with care. That means, safety in operating any one of these machines should be first priority. |
