    Squirrel –Proofing

If squirrels are prevalent in your locality, you are probably faced with the common problem of rodents happily eating away your birdseed. While their antics can be amusing to observe, you probably will think otherwise if you’ll find out that your stock of birdseed you just purchased were eaten and eventually lose your bird visitors.

Most residential owners prefer to use Squirrel-proof bird feeders that basically blocks the squirrel out by not allow the pesky rodents to climb up the pole. So if you want to keep away the squirrels and continue attracting birds, then you need to look into the possibility of getting a suspended or mounted feeder pole. If you can spare some extra purchase, you can buy some birdbaths that would attract birds and at the same time keep the seeds well away from the squirrel’s reach. This also adds a wonderful aesthetic value to you landscaping. But as you might have already surmised, birds don’t pay any particular care on the structures as long as they can have a continuous supply of birdseed, you can expect them to hear their adorable chirps every time they pay you a visit.

Now that you have more or less and idea on how to adapt you’re landscaping to the presence of animals, both the welcome and the unwanted ones, you can made the necessary concession to your landscaping designs. While this might mean a compromise on your part, it will also mean a more harmonious and stress free home life for you.
