Dunk 'Em Out Naturally - Mosquito Dunks
Mosquito Dunks have an active ingredient called BMI or Bacillus Thuringiensis subspecies Israelensis, a bacterium agent biologically toxic to mosquito larvae as well as black and psychodid fly larvae as it attacks its digestive system. Mosquito Dunks are a type of larvacide which are sustained-release natural organic non-toxic substances. Hence, Mosquito Dunks represent a major breakthrough compared with the traditional toxic chemical approach to mosquito control. It's safe for people and the environment. It is never harmful to children, pets, and plants. Plus, it's easy to use! Mosquito Dunks usually come in a package of 6, and each dunk is good for 30 days and treats an area of about 100 sq. ft. of water surface. You only have to dunk one piece every month to rid of mosquitoes for the whole season! Dunks will float in your roof gutters, rain barrel, old automobile tires, ditches, unused swimming pools, decorative pond, water garden, tree holes, flower pots, and every place where water accumulates around your home including your lovely birdbath or fountain. Mosquito Dunks may also be broken to tiny cookie-pieces to treat small areas of water. And even if the dunks are left unused and dried out, it will still retain its active potency indefinitely. Even alternate wetting and drying will not reduce its effectiveness. Mosquito dunks will start working again instantly when they become wet. To prevent dunks from being washed away, you can easily anchor them using a string tied through the center hole, or you can stake them in place. While floating, mosquito dunks slowly release the natural mosquito-killing biocontrol BTI agent at the waters surface. This agent gradually settles in the water and the mosquito larvae will feed on them and will be killed continuously. On the other hand, the dunks, being biodegradable is safe for all other living things. Using dunks is a very effective and safe way to keep control over the mosquito population in your yard while also keeping the beauty and life in your garden. If you have a lovely garden with occasional water accumulations, then using mosquito dunks might be the solution. And if the larvae is lucky to skip the dunks, trap them with an also natural mosquito barrier®. |
